09-13-2001 Light a Candle for Life

Subject: Light a Candle for Life I'm sure many of you have seen this by now, and for those who haven't please participate and copy this email and send it to everyone you know. It is action we can all take to make a statement of unity and connection and love. Celebrate life by lighting a candle this Friday at 7 pm Eastern time. 09-12-2001 A Tribute to America

Subject: A Tribute to America I received the following editorial from a Canadian newspaper and feel it is absolutely worth sharing. We are a strong nation, and it is particularly valuable at this time to have that acknowledged by our neighbors. Many of you responded to the essay I sent yesterday. Thank you all for taking the time to send your prayers and words of comfort. I am gathering some of them into a collection which I will publish later in the week. If you'd like to have your words included please write me at mailto:911@tothesummit.com. Keep loving each other and celebrate life, Namaste, Margo America: The Good Neighbor. Widespread but only partial news coverage was given recently to a remarkable editorial broadcast from Toronto by Gordon Sinclair, a Canadian television commentator. What follows is the full text of his [...]

09-11-2001 Finding Healing in the Tragedy

Subject: Finding Healing in the Tragedy I have chosen not to publish Celebrating the Journey in its ordinary format or on its ordinary day this week. In the face of this national tragedy, there is nothing that feels ordinary. I ask you all to join me in offering prayers and comfort to all who have been directly affected by the events of the day. To each of you who have loved ones in New York or Washington or on an airplane today, I join the world in sending you special prayers and support. I have just finished a brief conversation with an old and dear friend whose work involves being at the Pentagon fairly regularly. He was not there this morning, thank God. He is on his way there as I write. His own shock at what has happened was [...]

It is a sweet and simple pleasure for which I am very grateful. I sat down at my laptop computer Monday night to write this week's article [...]
