Living Out Loud

I learned Saturday morning that a close friend had died
unexpectedly on Thursday. We knew something was
wrong because she hadn’t shown up for an appointment
and we couldn’t locate her. It never occurred to me that
she might have died. I wrote about Connection in this
newsletter two weeks ago, and I’m grateful I had the
connection I did with this friend. She lived strongly,
from a strong sense of integrity, cared a great deal about
people and did a great deal of service for others. I will
miss her.

Death always makes me think about life. One is simply a
part of the other. We cannot live without dying; we cannot
die with out having lived. However, there is an enormous
distinction between existing and really living. Too many
of us merely “get through life,” quietly, softly, without
passion or dreams. Too many of us come to the end of
our lives regretting the things we didn’t do.

I invite you to Live Out Loud! Write your dreams in
purple ink; dance your passion in the light of a full moon;
embrace your loved ones with your whole being; discover
the dream that hides in your heart and live it; dare to be
different. It starts with one small step. Take that step into
the unknown wildness of your soul and LIVE!

What can you do to Live Out Loud – today, right here, right now?

Work like you don’t need money,
Love like you’ve never been hurt,
And dance like no one’s watching.

What is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?
Mary Oliver

If you asked me what I came into this world to do, I came
to live out loud.
Emile Zola

Dream as if you’ll live forever.
Live as if you’ll die today.
James Dean

You don’t get to choose how you’re going to die.
Or when.
You can only decide how you’re going to live.
Joan Baez

Give yourself the gift of Living Out Loud this week.
