1. Welcome Notes
I give welcome to all our new subscribers. I am on
vacation and away from my email for 2 1/2 weeks. I still
invite you to let me know how this CTJ impacts you,
positively or negatively. I learn so much from the
feedback you send me about how to make CTJ a better
resource for our readers. Thanks for letting me know
what you like and what you don’t, and for forwarding
Celebrating The Journey to some of the great folks in your
life.

2. Passion
As you read this, I am in the Inyo Mountains, in the last
day of a 4-day solo Vision Fast. It is one of the ways I
reconnect with my passions in life.
It wasn’t so many years ago that I had no clue what my
passion was. I had no goals, no dreams, no passion for
anything or anyone. It wasn’t much of a life. I was alive
and not really LIVING my life. Are you just alive today or
are you really LIVING your life?
What are you passionate about? What makes your heart
sing? Your boat rock? Your juices flow? What causes you
to laugh out loud? Giggle like a 3-year-old? Grin from ear
to ear? What fills your soul? Brings a heartfelt, “Yes!”
from the depth of your being? Elicits tears from the sheer
joy and beauty of it?
Some of my passions are:
Climbing mountains
Being in the wilderness
A soak in the hot tub on a full moon night
Purple
My dowager kitty, Annie
My clients
Making a difference
Quiet time with a close friend
Needlepoint
Elephants
Do you know what your passions are?
If you do, make a list of them. Write it on a big piece of
posterboard crayons or acrylics or markers. Use bright
colors, and write them in all different directions. Draw
pictures of your passions. Celebrate this marvelous list of
what you love in your life.
Now, go do them. At least one a day until the end of
never.
My favorite description of a true moment of passion is
this quote from Martin Luther King:
“Occasionally in life there are those moments
of unutterable fulfillment which cannot be
completely explained by those symbols called
words. Their meanings can only be articulated
by the inaudible language of the heart.”
Yeah!
If you don’t know what your passions are, here are some
websites to visit to assist you in discovering them. Visit
them today. Without passion we are merely passing the
time until we die. With passion, life becomes truly
ALIVE. Create LIFE in your life by discovering and living
your passions.

Passion Quotes
When you were born, you cried and everybody else was
happy. The only question that matters is this: When you
die, will YOU be happy when everybody else is crying?
Tony Campolo
There is no end. There is no beginning. There is only the
infinite passion of life.
Frederico Fellini
This is my passion.
I am a climber, and standing on the summit of Mount
Everest is my dream. The only failure would be not to try.
